FIONA (MISS 2.1) - Boy Toy Dubstep Remix

Well what have we here? I somehow(don't ask) came upon this banging dance beat by Fiona called "Boy Toy". The song was super slick with good vocals and some nice synth. But it was missing something... I dug a little deeper and what did i find? A so good dubstep banger that will want to make you slap yo momma!! 3 Shots Productions, who actually has Fiona under the labels decided to do a little remix of their own when they released this bad track.

Young Science - Caribbean Song

Merry manic Monday AOTC listeners! The weather's ugly as F#^$ today so I thought to put up a track that would help lighten the mood and make the day go by quicker. Caribbean Song by Young Science is a song that has a nice uptempo Caribbean beat... who'da thunk it! Along with that nice drumb beat, Young Ccience has that childish lyrical flow, which reminds me a lot of Owl City in Fireflies. The song also has some nice synth in the background, and gives you the feel like you're on a beach sipping a Piña colada watching the waves crash in front of you.

B.o.B - Bombs Away(Ft. Morgan Freeman)

With the Release of B.o.B's latest Album "Strange Clouds" Only 3 days away, I took a sneak peek at the first track of the album. I'm the type of person that listens to the first track and creates a presumption of the rest of the album. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. In this case it better F$#$^%ing work because the song hits harder than a ton a bricks.

The Lighthouse and The Whaler - Pioneers

Their EP, Pioneers, definitely sets the bar high for this little indie pop band that hails from Cleveland, Ohio. Their next album release has yet to be announced, and I expect more catchy and upbeat tunes that would make the perfect summer soundtrack. The single Pioneers has gained some popularity after being featured on shows like Gossip Girl. The other two songs on the the EP, Burst Apart & Iron Doors are equally as good. Its hard to find something wrong with this band, they honestly sound like a perfect mix of Coldplay and Florence + The Machine.

Magic Wands - Teenage Love

Magic Wands is the type of band that is so indie, they don't even have a website (as far I as can tell, thanks Google). The indie pop duo Chris & Dexy Valentine released their first LP, Aloha Moon, this past Tuesday. At first glance, you might think the band sounds like the quintessential backdrop for an Urban Outfitters soundtrack. BUT if you listen to way Dexy's voice flows so smoothly with the melodic tunes, you might feel so ever inclined to keep listening.

Florence And The Machine - Cosmic Love(Seven Lions Remix)

Chillstep Galore!! Florence and the Machine is awesome. Everyone Knows this. But, how could they be made more awesome? Take one part "Cosmic Love" and one part Seven Lions, and viola! The O.G track is smooth with Florence's voice and a nice drum beat in the back ground. This remix essentially keeps that same beat but also expands upon it and really takes this song to a whole nother level. There are some good, vivid drops and the dubstep blends perfectly with the mood of the O.G track.

I dare you to go download Seven Lions EP "Polarize" and see what he's all about.

Santigold - Look At These Hoes

I dont know about you, but im ready for Santigold's new album "Master of my Make Beleive" to hit the U.S shores May 1st. The U.K already has it and yes i am jelly bro. very jelly. Another track of the album called "Look At These Hoes" dropped and like "Disparate Youth", this song is a instant hit. With a sick drum beat in the back while Santigold rips the vocals and chorus, makes this track addictive to listen to. Bonnaroo and lollapalooza  are just around the corner (She's going to be there), I know the new album is going to be the talk around the water cooler.

Take a listen, and watch the new disparate youth video below to stay ahead of the curve...

Chiddy Bang - Mind Your Manners ft. Icona Pop (VIDEO)

BOO YAAHH! The long awaited video from Chiddy Bangs album has finally dropped! Chiddy originally came out with "Mind Your Manners" even before the album "Breakfast" came out a couple of weeks ago. When I first heard it i fell in love with the track and I had been waiting for the video ever since. The album itself is FUEGO to say the least, as Chiddy does a great job in mixing in some rap with some sinth pop while icona pop rips in the background. It's crazy how you can mix two genres that may seem like a word apart and make it flow like they do. If you like this track make sure you give "Opposite of adults" a peep.

Owl Eyes - Cristalised

Brooke Addamo, otherwise known as Owl Eyes is an indie pop singer straight from the down under, Australia. She is a super up and comer, but shes no stranger to music. She was a finalist in the Australian Idol in '08 and the released an EP "Faces" in 2010. This is the first I've ever heard of her since she usually only does tours in Australia and the UK. Check out this track and your instantly realize why she was a finalist in the Australian Idol and deserves a spot at AOTC.. This Saucy Aussie can sing!! The song starts out with some nice synth, but she shines brightest with her long, drown out vocals and she hits the highs effortlessly. On top of that, shes cute! She needs to come down here to the states so that we can see her live!

Usher - Scream

This just in... A new track by Usher himself, titled "Scream". Its the second track off the upcoming album "Looking For Myself", and like "Climax" it has a one word title. It makes me wonder if all the songs from the new album are going to be one word titles. If this is the case, I'm going to be looking for songs like "Moan", "Drip" or some sort of sexual innuendo.

Bare - Ursa Major EP

The West coast bass champ BARE decided to make this week better for all us AOTC listeners by dropping his EP "Ursa Major" AKA "Big Bare". I naturally turned up my bass and got ready for what was about to ensue. I wasn't prepared....

Zedd - Stars Come Out (Datsik Remix)

Is it just me or is Datsik taking over the world? First he remixes Kaskade n Skrillex, and now he remixes Zedd... Does this guy ever take a break!? Usually when a remix of a song is released, I try and listen to the O.G track first so I can notice the difference in the Remix. I heard the original and its a straight dance beat with the cliche build up and a little baby drop, nothing special. I tuned in to the remix and it still has a little house to it but the dubstep is heavy and all you want to do is bob your head and enjoy the bricklaying drops.

Sabi - Where they do that at (Ft Wale) VIDEO

Check out Sabi, a LA based singer and her new music video "Where they do that at" featuring Wale. This is their second tandem together, following Wale's "Sabotage" Video. The video takes place in the L.A. river, as she vents about ill equipped lover, up until she runs into Wale and he rips the song with  his verse.

Usher- Climax (Diplo Bouncier Climactic Remix)

I don't think Usher realized that when this song was released how many remixes there would be. I've heard remixes aplenty, and i think this is one of the best. Diplo certainly didn't disappoint as he took this slow melody and turned it into a straight up club hit. It has more of a dubstep-ish tone which a raised tempo.

Flo Rida - Whistle

Flo Rida just dropped another dance hit that's aiming to make it to the top of the charts. "Whistle" has a lot of similarity to his other hits "Good Feeling" and "Wild Ones", which makes you want to get ff that couch and whistle while you dance. The Whistling in the song actually blends very well, to which i have to give credit to DJ Frank E.

His new album "Only One Rida Pt II" is dropping soon.

Aubrey O'Day - Wrecking Ball

Aubrey O'Day, singer, actress, designer, and all around t.v personality has dropped a pretty good pop hit, "Wrecking ball". Her voice flows smooth and it almost has a little countryish feel to it, during the chorus. Since her split from Dannity Kane, Aubrey has made a name for herself while working alone. Seems like shes doing something right, as shes now in the Celebrity Apprentice which premiered in mid February.

The Maccabees - Child + ALBUM

The Maccabees just released their new album "Given to the Wild" yesterday, i took a gander at it..... and its amazing. If you love indie rock, this is an album for you. The band started in 2004 when they dropped an EP which gained them little notoriety. in 2006 they released  a single "Latchmere" and in 2007 the freshman album "Colour it in" was released.

Eva Simons - I Dont Like You + Nicky Romero Remix

One thing i can say for sure is that Eva Simons can definitely make some sick house tracks. Her voice is perfect for this genre, as I'm sure you can remember how big "Take Over Control" became overnight. Expect the same from this track. Nicky Romero, one of the top tier house DJ's decided to remix this new track and i just cant stop listening to it. Take  look at the preview below and enjoy.

Drake - HYFR Video

YMCMB superstar Drake released another video for the track "HYFR" of his "Take Care" album. After watching this video, you're going to want to change religions...or just have a party and play this track non-stop. Drizzy as of late has been coming out with some better videos and it shows here.

Wiz Khalifa - Work Hard Play Hard

WIIIZZZZZ! For the next couple of weeks leading up to his album release "O.N.I.F.C" the motto has just changed from YOLO to work hard play hard. Wiz Khalifa has been putting in massive work these past couple of months, in which he dropped his mix-tape "Taylor Allderdice" probably of of the best mix-tapes of the year. If you haven't, listen to the mix tape and wait for the release of his new album in mid August.

This track starts out with an aggressive rap flow and then becomes a little more even keel and then Wiz kills it with some bars.

Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)

Nelly Furtado is back and she's bringing some fire. This newly released track is smooth and has that aggressive girlish flow that she was known for. This is to be one of her showcase songs in her triumphant return album "The Spirit Indestructible" which has no official release date. She's She's been gone for some time, but this songs is as modern and mainstream as you can get, with her iconic urban pop she has poised herself for a strong return.

Zee Avi - Swell Window & Concrete Wall

There's a lot of soul and spunk packed into this 25 year old singer/songwriter. The Malaysian beauty Zee Avi is definitely an old soul with a knack for groovy worldly sounds. Even though her sophomore album was released in August 2011 and she has performed at various music fests like Bonnaroo & Litlith Fair, it doesn't seem like Zee Avi gets the attention she deserves.

Riz - Waiting Up (Ft. Drake)

Riz and YMCMB superstar Drake team up to bring you a smooth catchy track. The song is produced by 40 so you know its a beast beat right of the bat. As of right now Riz doesn't have any upcoming albums, so just stay tuned, i know there's something cooking in the midst.

Gucci Mane - Cyeah Cyeah Cyeah (Ft. Chris Brown, Lil Wayne)

Looks Like Gucci Mane is ready to release his new mix-tape "Im Up". For all you Gucci heads, it drops memorial day weekend and judging from this track, it looks like Gucci is up to his same ol "Get a tattoo on my face and not give a f#%$" ways. Its got high energy, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne kill their verses bringing some aggressiveness to the table. CYEAAAHHHH

Emeli Sade- My Kind of Love + VIDEO

Emeli Sande is the next big think to come out of the UK Her single "My Kind of Love" is from her newly released album "Our Version of Events" which is set to drop June 5th in the U.S. The songs starts outs with a strong piano note and then Emeli kills it with her smooth and beautiful vocals mixed with fantastic highs and lows. The video is deep and portrays her softer side, taking an ill friend out for a joyride.

Jay Sean - Im All Yours (Ft Pitbull)

Wondering where YMCMB singer Jay Sean has been up to? Apparently making sick party tracks with "Mr. Worldwide" Pitbull! You know youre doing something good when your in the GQ april issue, congrats Pitbull. This song is a single from Jay Sean's upcoming album worth it all, which sounds like its gonna be good party based off this track. Expect this song to hit the clubs and radio fairly quickly.

The 21 yr old mash-up beast is at it again, releasing the first volume of HAUS. I listened to it and its literally 36:19 of PURE sex. 3LAU hasn't been on the scene long but he's already become one of the best mashup artist and is even comparable to Madeon, another mashup beast.

The Temper Trap - Need Your Love + Rabbit Hole

Awww Yeeeaaa! I'm super excited that Temper Trap is ready to release their second album "The Temper Trap" June 5th in the U.S. The Track above, Need Your Love and Rabbit Hole are part of the new album and from listening to them i know its going to be just as good as the first album "Conditions".

Logic - Numbers + Tic Tac Toe

Logic AKA Young Sinatra dropped his self named mix tape around September of 2011. Since then the man has caught fire and is about to explode onto the mainstream scene. The kid has tight rhymes and makes it flow well on pretty much every track. He can rap on chill beats, bangers and everything in between. These two songs especially exemplify the person that he wants to become; a rapper that's in it for the fans and not the fame. Well, when you get fans, fame is sure to come. Anyways just listen to both tracks and thank me later.

The man even looks like a young version of Frank Sinatra. Creepy.

Attaque - Shadows + When Light Falls(Album)

Attaque, an up and coming techno/house artist has recently released his album "When Light Falls" so i took a gander to see how it would compare to the bigs of the techno scene. WOW. This track is bad-ass to say the least. Upon hearing some other of his tracks, i can say with confidence that in due time techno head will be screaming his name at mass raves. The rest of his album is below and i encourage you to listen to it.

Boyfriend - Justin Bieber (remix by Konrad OldMoney)

Who said Justin Beiber is crap!? All you have to add is some drum and bass, slow it down, and toss a little dub in and there you go, a beast track by Konrad OldMoney! The Canadian producer definitely had his work cut out for him in order to make this pop hit into an electro dub banger, but i think he did a phenomenal job. Feel free to drop me a comment and lemme know what you think.

John Legend - Tonight (Best You Ever Had) feat. Ludacris

With the release of the heavily anticipated movie "think like a man" John Legend lays down his smooth vocals on this nice track, whcih is on the OST.  Just when you think it couldn't get any better, Ludacris comes in and rips his verse. From what I've heard, the movie is good but come to think of it, if Kevin Hart is playing in it, it has too be worth watching.

Mayo - Wassup

Up and coming Chi-Town rapper Mayo dropped a new track"Wassup" out if his sophomore mixtape Dream Big. Kid's got a pretty good flow and some decent vocals. Paul Judge produced the song and its good work. Being completely honest, he reminds me a little of Drake when he was coming up. The Dream Big mixtape  hasn't landed yet, but be on the lookout, because he sounds promising.

Download is in the YouTube link.

Kanye West - Mercy & Way Too Cold+VIDEO

Kanye is back! Actually, he never left. Dropping new tracks every Friday and calling it GOOD Friday....sounds like him. Both of these tracks are super bangers, Way Too Cold was originally called Theraflu but was changed after its release. West kills this track dropping hints about his "love" for Kim Kardashian, while still lyrically destroying the beat. Mercy, on the other hand had a deeper bass note and has Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz featured on it.

M.I.A- Bad Girls(Manic Focus Dubstep Remix) +Others

Not a bad Dubstep remix by Manic Focus, taking M.I.A's Bad Girls and making it even badder by adding some dubstep griminess to it. They've also done some pretty good work remixing Gary Jules' Mad World and Dani California by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.  If you liked any of these tracks, make sure to take a look at their album "Definition of Rhythm" which dropped some time ago. Its a FREE download.

Bassnectar - VaVa Voom(Video) + Ping Pong

This banger has the right mix of both hip hop and dubstep and will leave you wanting more.

Marina and the Diamonds - Primadonna + Remixxxes

The British indie pop singer and songwriter Maria and the Diamonds is set to release her sophomore album "Electra Heart" April 30, 2012 and from hearing this one track, I see good things to come. Throughout this track i see glimpses of a Katy Perry-esqe voice, and to be honest sounds very promising. The track was produced by Dr Luke , Diplo and Cirkut, so you KNOW its sex. The remix by Evian Christ however, takes it to a whole nother level. The remix completely erases the pop, adds a hip hop beat and truly makes this song an electro banger.

In My Mind (Moxxy’s Santa Clara On Acid Remix)

What a great way to start the weekend! I can't really say that I'm a HUGE house fan, but this track is pretty wild. Moxxy, the DJ duo from Phoenix came up in 2010 and have made some great strides thus far. This track has a solid house beat, but also features some good vocals from the actual un-remixed song. If you like this track, take a peek at their Nicky Romero - Toulouse Remix, its just as sick. In fact, i can say i like the Toulouse remix a little more.

St. Lucia – Closer than This (Viceroy Remix)

This is the type of track that chills you down and makes you wanna hit the beach and sip on a pina colada and long-board down the boardwalk. Viceroy is pretty known for their remixes but also dropped an EP which has some catchy dance electro beats. All in all a good track that puts you in a chill mood but doesn't put you to sleep. Flosstradamus? EXACTLY

Flosstradamus, the DJ duo of Chi-Town recently dropped this sick track via soundcloud. Although they've been around since 06 dropping remixes, they decided to release some EP's in 2011 and 2012 and have blown up the trap dance genre. Expect these guys to be the front runners for some time.
