Purity Ring - Obedear
My mind has been bursting at the seams about what to write about this track. This is only Purity Ring's fourth song released, they don't even have a website with info but you can already tell that these guys mean business. I must have played this song at least 15 times. Its THAT good.. I did a little more digging and I found out that they're under the Last Gang Ent. label. Just in case you were wondering the label is an umbrella for Chromeo, Datsik, Lights, Huoraton and some other fuego A$$ artists.
What i like most about this track is the way it combines so many genres and how smooth and catchy it all is. It starts out with a nice hip hop-ish synth beat, and then Megan James light airy vocals fill yours ear with pure ecstasy. Once you play this song you'll know why they're on this site and that they are here to stay.
Take a listen to stay ahead of the curve....
